The Signs Your Furnace Needs Repair or Replacement
A furnace usually doesn’t just stop working overnight. More often than not, you’ll get some clues that things aren’t quite right. Noticing these early signs might save you from an unexpected breakdown.

- Uneven heating: Are some rooms in your home warm while others feel like an icebox? This is a common sign that your furnace isn’t distributing heat properly. It could be a clogged filter, an aging system, or possibly a ductwork problem.
- Rising energy bills: If your gas or electric bill has been creeping up for no obvious reason, your furnace might be working harder than it should. Older systems, in particular, lose efficiency over time and use more energy to do the same job.
- A yellow pilot light: For gas furnaces, the pilot light should burn blue, not yellow. A yellow flame could mean your system is producing carbon monoxide, which is not only inefficient but dangerous. We offer emergency repair services.
